With your support, we keep historic trams and buses visible, maintain the line and make restorations possible. Your contribution directly supports heritage that visitors can see, hear and experience.
No subsidy, but plenty of work to do
The Museum Tramway is kept running by volunteers. In addition to time and craftsmanship, materials, parts, tools, energy and maintenance are needed. Friends and donors help us keep investing in moving heritage, from trams to the buses that are now also part of the collection.

For those who want to be involved on an ongoing basis and receive extra benefits.
- You will receive Trams van Toen at least twice a year
- Two tickets for a ride of your choice
- Welcome drink with a cookie for 2 people at Haarlemmermeerstation
- 10 percent discount on purchases in the Tramshop during the current year
- An invitation each year to at least one Friends and Donors Day

An accessible way to support maintenance, restoration and operation.

Contributions are tax-deductible under certain conditions.

The collection is growing beyond trams
In addition to trams, the collection now also includes historic buses. This makes the story of public transport in and around Amsterdam broader, more recognisable and even more appealing to enthusiasts. For the buses, we are also looking for drivers and people who want to help with engine maintenance.
