Restoration of motor car 72

Help bring car 72 back onto the rails

Goal: 2028

Our goal is to have motor car 72 safely, reliably and historically responsibly operational again in 2028.

A special piece of Amsterdam heritage

Motor car 72 tells the story of the early electric tram in Amsterdam. After technical damage to the drive system, the car was taken out of service. To make it run safely and reliably again, the underframe must be restored, parts must be overhauled and specialist finishing work is needed.

Every contribution helps us overhaul parts, make new headlights, restore the Union controllers and bring back the historic appearance with real gold leaf.
