Amsterdam has a unique new tram! The 2125 tram recently began running through the city, fully branded with a selection of the five liveries the GVB has used over the past 125 years. This colorful tram is impossible to miss and commemorates another anniversary: 50 years of Museum Trams (Electric Tram Museum Amsterdam). This tram was graciously donated to us by PPP Nederland and Rail Magazine for our 50th anniversary and will continue to operate on various lines throughout the city until October 5th. We thank PPP Nederland and Railmagazine for this awesome tram.
On Saturday, September 27th, we’ll celebrate this anniversary with a unique timetable on line 16. Several historic museum trams will be in action that day. And the best part: everyone can board for free! We’ll announce the exact timetable and boarding locations soon, so keep an eye on our website.
On Sunday, September 28th, we’ll continue with a day full of activities featuring our trams. Young and old can enjoy special experiences and a surprising finale. More news on that will follow soon as well.
Come celebrate with us and step into the world of 50 years of the Amsterdam Museum Tramline!
