Per the end of this year, we have decided to close our account on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. This decision is the result of a reconsideration of our online strategy and the platforms on which we want to be active to share our activities and heritage with our audience.
Since the acquisition of the platform by another party, the landscape of X has changed considerably. Although it has been a valuable channel for us to connect with our visitors, volunteers and enthusiasts of historic tram transport for many years, the current developments and direction of the platform no longer align with our core values and mission.
As a museum that is run entirely by volunteers and has ANBI status, we attach great importance to an inclusive, positive and respectful approach in all our communications. That is why we have decided to focus our energy and resources on other channels that better match our ideals and where we can continue to share our stories with pride. We will remain active on our website, Facebook and Instagram, and are exploring new ways to promote our historic trams, the heritage we cherish and the efforts of our volunteers. You can stay up to date on our activities, events and the latest news via these channels.
We would like to thank everyone who has followed and supported us via X, and we cordially invite you to continue following us on our other platforms. Together we will continue to work towards the preservation and experience of historic tram transport in Amsterdam.
